On Sunday December 16 2007 at 12:09 AM (PST) the USArray seismic network recorded an earthquake (preliminary Mw 6.6) located near Antofagasta.
Initial source parameters for this tremor are indicated below. The epicentral distance (i.e. distance separating the epicenter and the closest station in the recording network, 319A) for the USArray is 7321 km (65.77 degrees).
