On Sunday September 9 2007 at 6:49 PM (PDT) the USArray seismic network recorded an earthquake (preliminary Mw 6.8) located near the west coast of Colombia.
Initial source parameters for this tremor are indicated below. The epicentral distance (i.e. distance separating the epicenter and the closest station in the recording network, 319A) for the USArray is 4540 km (40.80 degrees).
