Home » Flexible Arrays » Overview
One of the three major seismic components of the USArray experiment is the flexible component. This consists of 400 portable, three–component, short–period and broadband seismographs and 2000 single–channel high frequency recorders for active and passive source studies. These stations will augment the Transportable Array (TA), permitting a range of specific targets to be addressed in a focused manner. Flexible array instruments will provide a substantial high-resolution resource for focused studies of fault zones and crustal structure.
We are no longer collecting data from the flexible arrays. Please visit the PASSCAL Instrument Center, who have taken over data collection.
